Het is weer die tijd van het jaar, dé show der shows…Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show komt er weer aan!!! En dit jaar is het extra leuk, want het lingeriemerk heeft aangekondigd dat zij modellen met alle type gaan lopen tijdens de modeshow in Parijs. And YESSSSS, the Black Girl Magic came through! De modellen Jourdana Phillips, Harieth Paul, Alanna Arrington en Maria Borges rockten hun natural hair en korte coupe tijdens de show dit jaar. Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows bevatten normaliter alleen modellen met lange (extensions en pruiken) lokken, maar dat sprookje is nu voorbij.
“It was such a big opportunity to be able to walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show with my natural and short hair. I’ve met so many other girls who think it’s scary, or if they change their hair, they won’t feel beautiful anymore. So I said, you know what, I want to show women that anything’s possible. You can still look beautiful with short hair. Beauty comes from inside, and whatever you bring out, people will think it’s beautiful”, aldus 24-jarige VS’s model Maria Borges (Luwanda, Angola).
